Despite being disappointed by the overall result in the Sussex Stakes, Kameko ran really well and we'll never really know what may have happened.

Every year at Goodwood there is going to be a hard-luck story, and sadly this year it was us.

He’s come out of the race seemingly very well though, and the ultimate decision on where he goes next will come from his owners, so we’ll just wait and see. Hopefully he’ll be back out and in the winner’s enclosure again soon.

Shailene   ran a cracker to finish third in this race last year, and she goes again on Saturday.

She gets her ideal conditions here - she loves fast ground and the trip is perfect for her.

She ran pretty well at Newbury last time, and a repeat of some of her best form should see her be really competitive.

Rodin  has been very consistent and always gives his best, but he may just want a little more give in the ground.

There’s only seven runners in the race, but it’s a competitive little contest. He does seem well at home though.

You need a lot of luck to win these big-field sprint handicaps, but on the best of Stone Of Destiny’s  form, he’d have a real sporting chance.

You can put a line through his last run – he fell out of the stalls and that cost him his race – but he’s got lots of ability and runs here off a mark of 95.

He was fourth in the Commonwealth Cup as a three-year-old, and we’ve always thought he’s got plenty of natural ability.
