We’ve had a fantastic couple of weeks and it’s great to have a few winners, particularly after a number of close seconds. Hopefully we can continue the form into this weekend.

There’s now number of options open to Bags Groove, including the Pertemps, following his win at Kempton on Monday.

We will have to see what the handicapper does before making a decision on where he goes next. The plan will now be for a spring campaign as he won’t appreciate the really testing winter ground.

Dashing Oscar won well at Bangor and he is definitely going the right way as well.

If The Cap Fits has done nothing wrong over hurdles at he won nicely under a penalty and we will be looking to step him up in grade now.

Cheltenham on Saturday

There has been more talk about Kylemore Lough than any other horse in the build-up to the BetVictor Gold Cup (2.25pm).

We’ve been happy with his work at home and, although it’s a hugely competitive race, we’re hoping he will be there or thereabouts.

He’s carrying top weight like at Cheltenham last December and he ran well on that occasion and the ground should hold no fears for him.

Saturday will tell us a lot and the plan has always been to build his season on how the race goes.

Outofthisworld goes in Listed mares’ bumper (4.00pm).

She won much better than we thought she would at Market Rasen back in the spring.

We didn’t necessarily think she would win and it was a very encouraging debut.

We won this race with Bitofapuzzle a few years back and even though we’re pitching her in at the deep end, on only her second start, we’re hopeful she can run well.

Cheltenham on Sunday

Melrose Boy runs in the Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle (1.15pm).

He has the profile for this race and we are looking forward to getting his season underway.

Kieron Edgar is onboard and has a lot of experience in the race having won it in three of the last four years.

We’ve won the race for the last two years with Behind Time and Unowhatimeanharry and hopefully Melrose Boy can make it a hat-trick.

We run Misterton in the Greatwood Hurdle (3.00pm).

I was very pleased with his reappearance at Chepstow and with The New One in there, it looks like a lot of horses could be well handicapped.

We definitely think he’s going in the right direction and we’ve been happy since Chepstow - let’s hope he can be involved at the finish.
