14.15 HAYDOCK

We'll start off at Haydock, where I really like the chances of MANCINI  to get us off to a flier.

The four-year-old has won his last two on the All-Weather in commanding fashion, with a solid victory at Chelmsford in April being followed by a brilliant display at Lingfield two weeks ago where he sailed home by six lengths.

Richard Kingscote has a great record at Haydock, with yet another winner to his name on Friday.

He's already ridden two of the horse's three wins so far, and I think he’s the one to back.

14.30 GOODWOOD

Over to Goodwood now for another tough handicap to call, although the one that sticks out to me is SOCIETY POWER  .

Trained by William Haggas, this colt has been exceptional since finishing as a runner-up on debut by winning four on the bounce.

After three convincing victories on the AW, he then claimed the AGV Handicap at Ascot two weeks ago by finishing over two lengths ahead of Fenaan  .

Proven over 7f and with the ever-reliable Andrea Atzeni on board, he’s going to be tough to beat.

15.25 HAYDOCK

There is definitely a case to be made for a lot of the field in this competitive Group 2, but I’m going to go with Clive Cox’s HEARTACHE  , who is three from a possible four so far.

That included a huge win in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, finishing 2½ lengths clear of Welsey Ward’s hot favourite Happy Like A Fool.

She was a disappointing third in France last July but did bounce back by winning a Group 2 at Doncaster ahead of Havana Grey.

She’s the only one in the field yet to win over 6f but, with a slight weight advantage carrying 8-11, I still think she’ll get the job done.

16.10 CURRAGH

After tipping Saxon Warrior in the 2000 Guineas, I’m hoping GUSTAV KLIMT  can repeat the trick in the Irish version.

Aidan O’Brien’s colt finished a respectable sixth that day, over a length behind Elarqam  .

His form beforehand was exceptional, however, with a course win here last July, victory in the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket and then another triumph in the 2000 Guineas Trial – destroying a field that included U S Navy Flag  .

Holding a course victory could be telling here and, with Donnacha O’Brien already winning the English renewal three weeks ago, I think he’s a good price to strike again here.
