13:50 YORK

MUSTASHRY  won this Group 3 last year and I think he’s got a great chance of doing so again.

The five-year-old has five wins and two seconds from 12 runs. He made a nice return to this season with a solid victory in a listed race at Sandown, beating the likes of Spark Plug and Euginio.

That run was a nice warm-up for this race, and he looks set to give Sir Michael Stoute another group victory in what is becoming a magnificent season.

14:40 GOODWOOD

At Goodwood, the two-year-old fillies battle it out over 7f.

And the one who’s really standing out to me is Andrew Balding’s LOOK AROUND .

She’s had three runs so far, winning two by more than a length over this distance.

Both Balding and Murphy are in decent form at the moment so this looks a nice price here.

14:50 NEWMARKET

In an interesting handicap in the third race at Newmarket, I’m drawn to George Scott’s STARBOY .

He comes into the race in great form (112-13) after two tidy victories at Brighton. He stepped up to 7f here in July and was very impressive, powering home by 2¼ lengths.

He was slightly disappointing at the start of the month, when he was beaten by Citron Major, but I think with Gabriele Malune’s 5lb claim on board, he’ll bounce back.

15:00 YORK

EXPERT EYE  is the one to beat in this Group 3 after showing signs of his best form in his last two.

He was a magnificent four-length winner in the Jersey Stakes at the Royal meeting and then followed that up with a decent runner-up to Lightnight Spear in the Sussex Stakes.

That drop back from 1m to 7f looks a very good decision and, with Frankie Dettori taking the ride for the first time, I think he’ll take all the beating.

16:05 NEWMARKET

In the final tip of the day at Newmarket, I’m going for GIFTED MASTER  to repeat his triumph for 12 months ago.

Huge Palmer’s five-year-old is a bit of a Newmarket specialist, with six wins and two seconds from 10 runs here.

I think we can ignorehis run in the King Stands, as a Group 1 over 5f is just out of his reach.

However, to win the Stewards’ Cup at top weight deserves huge praise and, for that reason, I think he’ll go well again here.
