Our tipster reveals his four best bets for a Betway-sponsored card at Newbury, Leicester and Leopardstown on Saturday to form an each-way Lucky 15.

13:50 NEWBURY

We begin with the Betway-sponsored Heed Your Hunch Handicap Hurdle, where I’m drawn to SEVARANO 11/2.

Oliver Sherwood’s six-year-old has been particularly impressive in his last three outings – finishing third behind Grade 1 winner Reserve Tank at Sandown before following that up with successive victories.

A victory over course and distance last time out was his most impressive performance to date, and I’m hoping for more of the same Saturday.

14:25 NEWBURY

The Betway Mandarin Chase is up next and, in a very competitive field, I’m going to take a punt on BOUGHTBEFORELUNCH 13/2.

Trained by Paul Webber, this six-year-old has really hit form in 2019 (22232), and has traditionally coped well with the 3m trip.

He’s always been in the mix in his last few runs and is a fluent jumper, so I think he has a good chance to claim a first win in 13 months.

14:40 LEICESTER

Across to Leicester now for the Silver Fox handicap where I think BELARGUS 11/2 looks a great each-way bet.

He has just the one win from seven so far, though I do think he’s improving over fences and, were it not for a late mistake at Southwell when finishing fourth, he could have gone a lot closer.

He’s only a four-year-old so has a weight advantage over a lot of this field, and I think he’ll be right up there.

15:10 LEOPARDSTOWN

We’ll finish over in Ireland for the Savills Chase and, while many people may be favouring last year’s winner, Kemboy, I think ROAD TO RESPECT 9/2 is the one to watch.

Noel Meade’s eight-year-old won this race in 2017 and was solid last season after an agonising defeat in the Irish Gold Cup with a respectable third in the Ryanair.

His reappearance in the Champion Chase at Down Royal was particularly impressive, beating recent King George winner Clan Des Obeaux by four lengths.

I was impressed with A Plus Tard on Friday but, should he win this, then he will be among the favourites for the Ryanair at this year’s Festival.
