Leopardstown

I was really impressed with Tekao  (12:05) when he dotted up over 1m2f at Lyon Parilly. He went off at 5/6 on his debut for Willie Mullins, which tells you he’d shown something at home. With that experience under his belt, he could get favourite backers off to a good start.

Dysart Dynamo  (12:35) has got a free way of going as we saw on a number of occasions over hurdles last season. He’s got plenty of ability. I know they’ve always liked him at home. If he takes to fences the way that Jonbon has, it could really heat up that2m novice chase division.

Chacun Pour Soi  (13:10) doesn’t travel well, so I don't suppose they'll be going to England with him this season. But we know how good he is over here, and I think he’ll be winning again.

While he’s not getting any younger, I don’t think if he’s on his A-game, that there is an improver who can beat him. But he does need to turn up with in form on his first start of the season.

Facile Vega  (13:45) is the one to beat and I think he’ll be the one to beat wherever he goes next, too. He’s the one I’d love to ride. He looks like an absolute superstar. He’s never disappointed, has he?

He’s jumping through every hoop put in front of him and that’s the sign of a very good horse. I love the prospect of how good he could be.

The 15:00 is always a very competitive race, but I thought Panda Boy  caught my eye last time behind Darren’s Hope and he now looks well in off 136. He won the Pertemps here 12 months ago and I’ve always thought he’ll win another big pot one day.

Another I like is Ballyshannon Rose   . She ran well behind Dolcita last time and gets Cian Callahan’s 7lb claim, too.

Will Do  (15:35) ran very well behind Monbeg Park and is coming back from a run over hurdles to have a crack at a good bumper. I like the way he ran last time and he showed that he could win a race of this type.

The Welsh Grand National

I won a bumper on The Big Dog  , and I know that this horse will love Chepstow. He is a proper stayer. He doesn’t know when to stop.

He’s been very good on two starts this season, winning the Munster National and Troytown. It’s funny, he always showed he had ability but hasn’t really done int consistently before but he’s found his stride now and it’d be great if he could win this big one for Peter Fahey and his team.

Kempton

Lac De Constance  (13:20) bolted up at Kempton last time, despite not beating a lot. I think he’s on the up and I think he’ll only get better, too. He’s actually unbeaten in his last four runs now and I could tell by the way his trainer spoke about him after he won last time that he thought he could be very good.

Edwardstone  (14:30) won the Tingle Creek and is now rated 170. He’s going the right direction and winning this will confirm him as the main danger to Energumene for the Betway Champion Chase in March.

I have to say, while I thought he was good last season, I didn’t know if he could improve much. But he showed in the Tingle Creek that he had. Nube Negra has won this race before and won’t make it easy for him though.
