13:40 Leopardstown

I’ve gone for a horse called Big King  in the opening leg. I couldn’t have been more impressed with him last time and with his yard in good form, I think he’ll continue his progression.

14:50 Leopardstown

I actually won this race in 2012 aboard Jacksonslady.

It's a very tough race to find the winner of, but I’ve landed on Emily Moon . She’s shown some good form in her races this season and, though she perhaps didn’t stay 2m4f last time, she’s dropping back to 2m here and I think that’ll suit her.

15:00 Kempton

The King George is always a classic and this year could be another if Clan Des Obeaux could make it three wins in a row.

It doesn’t look like an outstanding renewal of this race and I think it could be run to suit him. He ran very well at Haydock last time and I think this is more of his type of race.

15:35 Kempton

The last leg is a bit of a lottery, but I like the way that Runswick Bay  won at Taunton last time, being a smart horse of Paul Nicholls’. He seems to be getting better with each race and is finally learning what racing is all about. He’s progressive and I think he’ll go well.

Kempton 

Look, she’s no price, but she’s the best horse over 2m at the moment, so I think Epatante will win and will win well in the 14:25. She’s different class to her rivals and is still improving. I think she’ll win emphatically, and she’ll shorten for the Champion Hurdle accordingly.

In the other Grade 1 at Kempton Park (13:50}, I think Shan Blue  will take all of the beating. He’s a very, very good jumper and there have always been good vibes around him.

The form of his win on the last day is strong, with the second winning next time out, and although this is a super-hot race, he’s a very good horse and the Skelton yard is flying.

Leopardstown

The Grade 1 Juvenile Hurdle looks a really good race.

Zanahiyr is already favourite for the Triumph Hurdle and rightly so, in my opinion. He’s going to be very tough to beat at 13:05, even with a 3lb penalty. He was awesome last time.

If any of his rivals beat him, they’ll probably shoot to the head of the market for the Triumph Hurdle. I guess if I could see any, it would be Ha D’or  for Willie Mullins.

We know nothing about him as we’ve not seen him on a racecourse yet, but I suspect the market prior will be telling and it’s at this time of year that we’ll start seeing the best Juvenile and Novice hurdlers coming out. It’s a really exciting time of the year.
