Naas on Sunday

Conflated  was fancied by plenty to go very well at Cheltenham next week, however his connections have decided to enter him for this prize.

It could be a good plan well executed. There are only a handful of runners in the 14:00 and he’s well clear on ratings.

Best Behaviour  might be a nice each-way price in the Leinster National at 14:30. He’s gone well on a couple of occasions this season and had a lovely prep over hurdles in January. He’s always looked like he’ll appreciate 3m, too.

Alko Rouge  was a good winner last time out. It’s a competitive race but he’s got some really good bumper form to his name and it’ll be a rare outside ride for Rachael before the Festival.

Navan on Saturday

Coqolino  will take all of the beating in the 13:40 for Denise “Sneezy” Foster. He is improving with each start and was a good second here last time.

He’s got a good piece of bumper form from when he was second to Bob Olinger at Gowran.

Butterflyvespier was eye-catching on her debut for Peter Fahey. The winner that day, Magic Tricks, looks above average, too. She kept on steadily and would definitely have learned from that experience going into the 14:10.

Gars De Sceaux is the classiest horse in the race. He was second to a smart filly of Willie's called Hook Up, who won’t be far away in the Mares’ Novice at Cheltenham next week. He’ll appreciate the step up in trip here, too.

He’s got an entry on Sunday, too, but if Atlantic Shore runs in this handicap chase, I think he’ll take all the beating. He’s been in grand form this season and been very consistent.

He won a Pertemps qualifier last time out and may just have something in hand as he goes back over fences.

13:50 Sandown – Striking A Pose

He’s won his last two races well and I think is more to come from him. The Tizzard team had a couple of similar type of horse win this week and it’ll be good to see their stable take this prize after a hard season.

14:25 Sandown – Malaya

She loves this type of test. She’s run well without winning this season but as a result, she’s come down in the weights. She’s capable of running a big race with conditions set to suit her.

15:00 Sandown – Code Name Lise

I was impressed with her when she won at Ascot recently. She travelled well and despite showing obviously signs of greenness, she stuck her head down and kept going through the line. She’ll come on for that and should go well.

15:35 Sandown – No Getaway

He bolted up over course and distance recently. The Skelton team are absolutely flying and while he’s gone up a good few pounds in the handicap, he’s clearly improved.
