I was really impressed with Cape Gentleman   when he won his maiden hurdle. I liked the way he went about his business that day - he was professional.

He’s achieved just as much as the two horses at the head of the market and he could represent some each-way value.

I know Chacun Pour Soi   won this race last year, but I fancy Willie Mullins' other runner.

Min   won this race the two years prior to last and I think he’ll make it a third win on Saturday. He's so reliable and rarely lets you down.

An extended 2m 1f on testing ground will feel longer, and I think it’ll suit him well. Patrick [Mullins] will be able to bide his time and ride his own race as the onus will on the favourite.

The biggest danger to Shiskin in the Arkle at Cheltenham next month is Energumene  , who I think is going to win the Irish equivalent.

He’s very straight forward, he seems relaxed and has put in a great round of jumping on both his starts over fences so far.

It’ll be a tactical affair, but I think Paul [Townend] will sit just behind the leaders and let the race develop in front of him.

Aramax  was impressive when he won last time out at Fairyhouse. He was a good juvenile hurdler last season and won the Boodles Hurdle at the Festival, which shows how much ability he has.

It didn’t happen for him on his first few starts over fences, but it came together last time and he could still be improving.

It’s so hard to pick one in the Irish Champion Hurdle. I run the race over and over in my head and each time I get a different result.

Smaller fields are going to suit Sharjah   he could just be the one to side with. He has done little wrong in his career and was good at Christmas, too.

I think Petit Mouchoir   will get racing from early on and that could set it up for one of those to come from behind.

Honeysuckle   is another that will run from the front.

There are so many in with chances in this race.

You’d think that Advanced Virgo  has been campaigned at this race as his trainer has won the last three renewals.

He’ll have to improve, though, and if there are any horses that are unexposed and have plenty of improvement in them, you’d have to think that The Moyglass Flyer  is at the top of that list.

Mark Walsh would have had the choice of any ride for JP McManus and that's the horse he's chosen. It was a good race he was third in last time and, with a good low weight on his back, I think he'll go well.

I liked the way that Kilcruit  went about his business at Navan in December and I think he’ll be tough to beat. He was highly thought of when he was trained by Tony Mullins and is now with Willie, who we all know has a superb record in bumpers.

Patrick [Mullins] has chosen to ride this imposing six-year-old and I think he’ll give his trainer and owner a second winner in the race, after they had Appreciate It win the race last year.
