14:15 MUSSELBURGH

TOP PICK: GET OUT THE GATE

Second choice: Val Mome

We are very proud to mark the start of 2019 with our very first race sponsorship in Scotland.

Course and distance winner GET OUT THE GATE has the same trainer and jockey combination as last year’s winner of this race.

He also fits the profile of previous winners of the race. He’s on a nicely competitive mark despite a very good win here three weeks ago.

14:35 CHELTENHAM

TOP PICK: DE NAME EVADES ME

Second choice: Juge Et Parti

This is a wide-open handicap hurdle over a staying distance just short of 3 miles.

Aux Ptits Soins has been aimed at this race by the Skelton yard and looks to be one of the favourites, but can be opposed.

I prefer DE NAME EVADES ME from the Fergal O’Brien stable.

He’s never been out of the first four in any of his races under rules or PTP and can gain a second hurdles victory here after success at Warwick in November.

14:50 MUSSELBURGH

TOP PICK: ICONIC BELLE

Second choice: Surf And Turf

This handicap hurdle can go to the unexposed ICONIC BELLE.

She won on her National Hunt debut at the course back in November, off the back of a reasonably good career on the Flat where she won four of her 20 races.

She represents shrewd connections and could be on a very fair mark.

14:50 Musselburgh: Iconic Belle
{{::outcome.FormattedDecimal}} {{::outcome.Numerator}}/{{::outcome.Denominator}} 13/2

15:50 CHELTENHAM

TOP PICK: RIPPLET

Second choice: Glory And Fortune

Bumpers at Cheltenham are excellent pointers to the future of National Hunt Racing at the highest level.

Last year’s winner of this race Acey Milan went off as the 9/2 favourite for the Champion Bumper at the Festival.

It's a race that has produced a number of decent winners so far. I like Hughie Morrison’s extremely well-bred debut winner RIPPLET.

15:50 Cheltenham: Ripplet
