There were three runners from my stable of tracked horses over the last week, none of whom exactly covered themselves with glory.

Hakuna Babe finished third at Sandown and will probably find a race at some stage, but that is twice she has traded odds-on in running and not won, so time to let her go.

Film Star found a rise in class beyond her at Newmarket, and as she was proven on the ground she is also released as her stable have just gone a bit quiet at present.

Perfuse was all the rage for a Goodwood handicap but was never really involved. He is left on for another run, as he had been progressive prior to that and has a trainer in Sir Michael Stoute who won’t be in a rush with him.

Additions are thin on the ground due to the unusual ground conditions, with one exception:

DESIGNER - shaped like the second-best horse in the opener on Tuesday having been shuffled back when looking for a run. He performed well at this stage of the season last year and will have similar options in the short term.
