13:50 CHELTENHAM

The Caspian Caviar Gold Cup is arguably the strongest edition of this race in recent times with the top eight on the race card all being graded horses.

But despite the big ratings and big names on show, only three of the last 10 winners have carried more than 11 stone. The way the race is always run, at the time of year, always gives horses with low racing weights a big advantage and I think this year will be no different.

Fitting that bracket and appealing to me is ANNIE MC  who ran for a very long way in the Old Roan on her comeback run this season. The form of that race is working out well and she would have been nowhere near as primed as she would be for this assignment. Interestingly, she was really well backed in that race too. She has only run at Cheltenham once and, while beaten by 65 lengths in the Marsh, she ran much better than that would suggest.

Cepage  should also run well with conditions set to suit.

Good Boy Bobby , meanwhile, is worth keeping an eye on.

The Albert Bartlett trials are often won by horses with plenty of racing experience, not necessarily by the best horse in the race. For that reason, the fact that MAKE GOOD  has plenty of runs under his belt means he isof appeal.

Although it was a much lesser race he won at Gowran last time out, he bolted up over two miles and his trainer is stepping him up a mile for the first time. The are plenty of questions about how he'll do, but he’s fit and well.

Pat’s Fancy  took an age to get going before winning last time and he’ll appreciate this trip already.

Nicky Richards won this race last year and this year saddles the veteran CHILDWELL , who showed there is still life in him yet when he was third at Kelso last time out.

His third in a listed chase around in January is a stronger piece of form than most of his rivals could bring to the table from the past 12 months.

Singlefarmpayment  hasn’t won since 2016, but he’ll no doubt travel well and will be looming up as they turn for home. This is the easiest of his assignments for years, so it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on, on his second start for his new yard.

I’m looking forward to seeing CROSSGALESFAMGAME  in the Mares’ Handicap Hurdle.

She’s yet to show her full potential, but remains well handicapped off a mark of 125. That means she’s got a very low racing weight and only carries 10 stone.

She’s going to appreciate any rain that falls too. She found it too quick at Wincanton last time, but did her best work late on and does have some good form in the book.

Printing Dollars  could also run a big race with her yard now also in among the winners of late.
