12:05 CHELTENHAM

Unless one of the hurdling debutants is above average, ADAGIO SP should take all of the beating in the opener at Cheltenham.

He arrived from France with a lofty reputation and that was justified when he bolted up on his British debut at Warwick.

He backed that up just eight days later in Grade 2 action at the November meeting at Cheltenham. He looked like the winner for a long way, but was passed with 100 yards to go by Duffle Coat for his fourth win on the spin.

That form alone is head and shoulders above what his rivals bring to the table and, barring any blips, he should be winning this.

12:55 DONCASTER

It’s amazing that MAGIC DANCER has only won four times in his career as he’s so consistent and always run well, often in much more competitive races than this.

He’s shown plenty of promise in his three starts this season and has dropped to a mark of 122 - his lowest for a few years.

Conditions are set to suit him on Saturday and, with one of the most promising young riders in Kevin Brogan claiming 7lb off his back, I expect he'll be very close to getting back in the winners' enclosure again.

16:15 WOLVERHAMPTON

KODI KOH is a horse who needs all the luck in the world to be able to get her head in front, due to her style of being held up and running on late.

She is still very fairly treated off her mark of 46, with her recent second at Wolverhampton - where she was pushed wide around the bend but made up plenty of late ground - proving that she’s in fine form.

She stays well and should go very close under Jimmy Quinn.
