A very open Portland handicap kicks things off, and I’m going for Charlie Hills A MOMENTOFMADNESS 15/2 to rediscover winning form.
He won this race in 2018 and also finished second in it last year, just half a length behind Oxted, who has since gone on to Group 1 glory in the July Cup.
He ran really well to finish third at Goodwood last time out and is nicely handicapped here to get the win.

Group 2 action is up next in the Park Stakes, where I think ONE MASTER 3/1 is the one to beat for William Haggas.
She narrowly won the Fillies’ and Mares’ Group 3 at Goodwood in July and followed that up with a strong effort behind Safe Voyage in the City Of York Stakes at the Ebor.
I think that’s really strong form and she also has 3lbs off Limato which only strengthens her chances.

A very interesting field in this year’s St Leger but I’m really struggling to see past SANTIAGO 11/4.
A win in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot was followed up with a strong run to claim the Irish Derby before finishing third in the Goodwood Cup behind Stradivarius.
In Capri and Kew Gardens, Aidan O’Brien has had two of the past three winners, and I’m fairly confident he’ll add to that success.
16:10 LEOPARDSTOWN
We finish off over in Ireland for the Irish Champions Stakes, and I have a sneaky feeling MAGICAL 5/1 could get the better of Ghaiyyath this time out.
There’s no denying the Godolphin colt is arguably the best horse on the planet with what he’s done this year, but everything has gone his way.
O’Brien has three runners and I’m sure Armory will try and make this as difficult as possible for Godolphin’s star.
She was only three lengths behind in the Juddmonte and I think she’ll push much closer come Saturday.
