Our tipster reveals his best horse racing tips for York and Newbury on Saturday.

14:30 YORK

Cieren Fallon stole the show last weekend in claiming his first Group 1, and I think he’s got a great chance on board GREAT EXAMPLE  here.

The colt’s last three runs have all been very promising (122), with those two seconds behind Le Don De Vie, who ran well in the Duke of Edinburgh, and Caradoc, who is among the favourites in this race.

Proven over this distance, I think he’s a strong each-way chance.

15:05 YORK

ALPHA DELPHINI  is a course-and-distance winner having won the Group 1 Nunthorpe here back in 2018, and I’m hoping he can return to his best on Saturday.

The nine-year-old was last seen finishing runner-up to Battaash in Group 2 company at Haydock, but did finish ahead of Mabs Cross and Kachy that day, which is encouraging.

He’s got a good record at York with two wins and a second from four runs, so looks nice value.

15:25 NEWBURY

This is a very open Listed fillies’ race, but I’m siding towards Betway ambassador Andrew Balding’s SHAILENE .

She has a victory over course-and-distance here last September, where she finished ahead of Scarlet Dragon, who recently won the Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot.

She’s been slightly disappointing in her last two outings, but conditions should suit so she could be in the mix.

16:00 NEWBURY

We finish off with the Hackwood, where I’m hopeful THE TIN MAN  can get back to winning ways.

He won this race back in 2016 before going on to win multiple Group 1s, including the Diamond Jubilee and Champions Sprint.

He was, perhaps, disappointing in his last two, but did finish runner-up to Hello Youmzain in the Sprint Cup last September so there are signs of life in him yet.
