14:25 ASCOT

We kick things off with the feature race of the day – the Long Walk Hurdle – where I think 2018 winner PAISLEY PARK 2/1 can regain his crown.

The eight-year-old went on a seven-race winning streak from 2018 to the start of 2020 but disappointed at the Festival, although he did finish a close runner-up to Thyme Hill 2/1 last time out.

I think Ascot suits this star and he can reverse that form here and get back to winning ways at Grade 1 level.

14:40 HAYDOCK

HILL SIXTEEN 100/30 has really caught my eye for the Twiston-Davies team and I think he’ll continue his fine run of form to claim a third successive win.

He demolished the field at Ffos Las by 46 lengths in November and then battled really hard to win at Newbury last time out ahead of Lil Rockerfeller – whose CV speaks for itself.

I think he’s a really smart jumper and has the stamina for this trip.

15:00 ASCOT

This is a really open handicap chase and I’m keen to take an each-way chance on French raider ENFANT ROI 16/1.

The six-year-old has solid form since 2019 (211-21) and seems to relish heavy ground. He was last seen finishing second to Suroit – who looks a very strong prospect for David Cottin.

Also very well handicapped at 10-1, I think Sean Houlihan could steer him into the placings.

15:35 ASCOT

We're finishing off with a nice competitive Grade 3 where I’m swaying towards Dr Richard Newland’s BENSON 13/2.

I was at Sandown two weeks ago when he was very impressive in winning the last to bring up a three-timer.

He travels really well and is nicely handicapped in this field so could be tough to beat.

I’ve also got to give BOTOX HAS 18/1 an each-way shout at a nice price.

Having followed this horse since his debut, he’s got an impressive record (2/121-14) which includes a victory over Grade 1 winner Allmankind this season before he switched to fences.

That fourth last time out wasn’t necessarily a bad run given Floressa is a classy mare and both The Pink’n and Milkwood also have strong form.

Proven over this trip, I think Josh Moore can get him right amongst it once more.
