Our tipster reveals his best horse racing tips for Ayr and Newbury on Saturday.

13:55 AYR

We’ll kick things off with some Listed action, and a race that looks like it is for ADDEYBB   to lose.

His form since winning the Wolferton at last year’s Royal Ascot has been superb (1212-112). That includes a runner-up spot behind Magical on Champions Day, Group 1 success in Australia and, most recently, finishing behind Lord North in the Price Of Wales’s Stakes.

He obviously carries a lot more weight than the rest of the field but I still think he will get the job done here.

14:15 NEWBURY

Moving across to Newbury next, I like the look of William Haggas’ ILARAAB   in this nice, open handicap.

This colt has won three on the bounce since his disappointing debut at Newmarket and looks comfortable over this trip.

Well handicapped at 8-8 and with Martin Dwyer in the saddle, I’m hopeful he’ll be right up there.

The Ayr Silver Cup takes centre stage next and I like RATHBONE  as an each-way bet.

Trained by Kevin Ryan, this four-year-old has put in some solid performances this calendar year with three seconds and a third from seven runs and relishes these handicap fields.

A third behind Glen Shiel, who finished runner-up in the Group 1 Sprint Cup, and a narrow second last time out at Ascot reads as nice form so I think he should go close.

15:40 AYR

We’ll finish off with the big prize of the Ayr Gold Cup, where I think the resurgence of STAXTON   will continue.

This five-year-old is another who excels in these big-field handicaps and he’s looked back to his best following back-to-back wins at Ripon last month.

The last of those was the Great St Wilfrid Stakes where he finished ahead of Mr Lupton – a nice form boost considering he won a tough handicap at The Curragh last weekend.

Trainer Tim Easterby is in hot form at the moment – including five winners on Thursday – so I think this is a strong each-way chance.

WIN DOUBLE
