Our tipster reveals his best horse racing tips for Ascot and Fontwell on Saturday.

The Fillies’ And Mares’ Listed race is a wide-open, competitive affair, with the early market revolving around Daahyeh, who is having her first start in almost a year.

On her two-year-old form, she is head and shoulders above this field, but will she be wanting a tough test on soft ground first time up? I doubt it.

JOUSKA  has caught the eye to some degree on every start this season, and her most-recent outing at Doncaster was perhaps the most impressive of them all.

Her stable was in dire form for most of the summer, but they’ve had two winners of late, so the tide seems to be turning.

We’re yet to find out if she wants cut under foot, but she’s related to winners on soft ground. Some of her two-year-old form is very smart and, if she does handle the conditions, she could outrun her price.

Ultimately, this race is all about the unbeaten Logician, who is no doubt going to be very short in the betting but is one that poses very little value.

You’d have to question whether he’d want rain-softened ground more than a couple of his opponents, namely HIGHLAND CHIEF  who won a Royal Ascot handicap off top weight in soft ground earlier this year.

He’s been campaigned highly and hasn’t been far off some of the very best three-year-olds. With conditions set to suit him, he should be backed each way.

15:29 FONTWELL

I was at Lingfield when UP THE STRAIGHT  burst on to the scene with an impressive victory – not just visually, but on the clock, too. He relished the heavy ground that day and looked a horse to follow.

He ran OK in a few much better races before ending his campaign with a good victory at Kempton Park.

I’d be surprised if we’ve seen the best of him and, if he’s fit enough to do himself justice, he should go close in this race, which looks very strong for the grade.

ARICEBO   has been running in the top sprint handicaps all season and performing with great credit, too.

He does seem to keep finding trouble, but his running style in big-field handicaps will lend itself to that. This, however, is a much weaker race where he will get his favoured soft ground.

I expect him to be played late in the race, but he’s got lots of ability and should cap his season off with more prize money in this 5f handicap.
