13:25 ASCOT

Starting with the Long Distance Cup, and I cannot see STRADIVARIUS  getting beat here.

The four-year-old has become the best stayer in Europe following an unbeaten season and claimed the WH Stayers’ Million last time out.

He’s got a good record at Ascot and can end the season with a perfect five from five.

This is a really tough Sprint Stakes, but I’m going to take a chance on TASLEET  .

William Haggas’ five-year-old is without a win since the 2017 Duke Of York but tends to save his best performances for this course.

He was runner-up here to The Tin Man in the 2017 Diamond Jubilee and had another second in this race last year to Librisa Breeze.

He never really settled in the Sprint Cup but should relish the soft conditions on Saturday and looks a decent price.

We have the battle between the fillies and mares next, and I think LAH TI DAR  wins this comfortably.

She lost her unbeaten streak last time out in a very good effort against Kew Gardens in the St Leger, but I think 1m 6f was just a bit too far for her.

Now back over the same distance where she won by 10 lengths at York and, carrying 8-13 with the fillies' allowance, it’s very hard to see her getting beat.

15:15 ASCOT

Roaring Lion made a late move to the QEII this week, but I actually think LAURENS  is really good value.

She’s a five-time Group 1 winner including a big shock over Alpha Centauri in the Matron Stakes back in September.

She's also another who has a slight edge by carrying 5lb less than most of the field, though there is a slight concern with how she’ll cope with the ground.

PJ McDonald returns in the saddle and will hopefully claim another Group 1 winner.

15:50 ASCOT

I think CRACKSMAN  will go out in style in what looks like being his last race.

He was superb in this contest last year where he powered home by seven lengths, and has since claimed two more Group 1s in France and at Epsom.

Unfortunately, he did then flop here in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes and was subsequently injured.

But John Gosden has confirmed that he looks back to his best and will absolutely love the conditions, so he looks a solid winner here.

If you want some more value then I’d go for the straight forecast with Crystal Ocean .

16:30 ASCOT

We finish with a wide-open Balmoral Handicap where I’m going for Andrew Balding’s ZWAYYAN  .

The five-year-old is a course-and-distance winner here last October and also placed in a handicap last month as well as the Shergar Cup Mile.

Nicely-handicapped at 8-12 and with the super Jason Watson on board, this looks a great each-way bet.
