12:45 NEWBURY

This is a really intriguing Grade 2 to kick things off as Kilbricken Storm and SANTINI   renew their rivalry from the Albert Bartlett, but I think it’s the later who will come out on top.

Nick Henderson’s six-year-old ss very impressive over hurdles, winning three of his last four, with his only defeat coming at the Festival.

Now turning his attention to fences back on the course where he won on debut, I expect him to do so again.

13:50 NEWBURY

SPEEDO BOY won the Intermediate Hurdle two weeks ago in very impressive fashion, and I think he looks set for another triumph here.

He is one of many versatile horses from Ian Williams’ yard, having won twice over hurdles and twice on the flat, and also put in a notable performance in the Cesarewitch.

He’s really well handicapped at 10-5, and proven over 2m4f, so I think he’s the one to beat here.

14:05 NEWCASTLE

There is a much more competitive Fighting Fifth this year, as Buveur D’Air looks to retain his crown and extend his winning run to 11.

However, I’m going to keep the faith with SAMCRO  .

He was superb last season, winning on his first seven runs, including the Ballymore at the Festival.

He has disappointed in his last two – falling in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle and surprisingly being turned over by Bedrock last month - but I still think he has immense talent and should go close.

15:00 NEWBURY

My final tip comes from the big one, and I’m taking a chance on THE YOUNG MASTER   to continue his recent good form.

He looks rejuvenated having won at Cheltenham and Chepstow in impressive style in his last two runs.

He is certainly one of the most experienced in the field at nine-years-old. He has 37 runs over jumps and seven on the flat.

Bottom weight at 10-8, the same as last year’s winner Total Recall, I think he’s definitely a good each-way bet.
