Our tipster reveals his best bets for a busy day of racing at Haydock and Newmarket as well as a win double and lucky 15.

14:05 HAYDOCK

Kicking things off with a competitive handicap at Haydock where I fancy BARRISTAN THE BOLD 100/30 to get back to winning ways.

His only win this season was at Newcastle in July, but he put in a very solid effort when third behind Oh This Is Us last month.

We know how good Tom Dascombe and Richard Kingscote are together at Haydock, so I think he’s a nice price at 100/30.

14:25 NEWMARKET

The Cheveley Park is up next in the Fillies Group 1 and I’m struggling to see past RAFFLE PRIZE 6/5 here.

She’s got three wins and two seconds so far and both defeats came to quality opposition in Earthlight and Friday’s Rockfel Stakes winner Daahyeh – who she then beat in the Duchess Of Cambridge.

Being winner of the Queen Mary at the Royal meeting is also a nice one on the CV and it could be another Group 1 for Frankie Dettori.

15:00 NEWMARKET

This Middle Park Stakes is potentially the best two-year-old race I’ve ever seen and there’s a strong case to be made for the majority of the field.

However, the one who is really sticking out to me is SISKIN 9/2.

Ger Lyons colt is four from four and completed a hat-trick of wins at the Curragh last time out, collecting his first Group 1 in the Phoenix Stakes ahead of Monarch Of Egypt 10/1.

He’s got a lovely turn of foot and I think is only bettered by Pinatubo in this division.

15:40 NEWMARKET

The Cambridgeshire is one of my favourite races and, as we’re offering 6 places, there’s two that I like.

My main fancy is JAZEEL 14/1 for Jedd O’Keeffe.

He was a course-and-distance winner in the Silver Cambridgeshire last year and also won a great battle with Beringer at Sandown in July.

The four-year-old loves these big handicaps and put in some solid performances at Goodwood and Epsom, so I think he’s got a good chance.

The other one I like who is a massive price is LITTLE JO 50/1.

He was third behind the aforementioned in the Silver Cambridgeshire and has some solid form coming into the race (1211131).

He is a course specialist, has bottom weight at 8-0 and has Kieran Schofield’s five lb claim on top of that, so I think he’s got a great chance of placing.
