14:40 NEWBURY

We'll kick things off with a Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, where Alan King’s ELYSEES  is going to be tough to beat.

The four-year-old, who also has 11 runs on the flat on his CV, has made a good start over hurdles, with two wins from four and a second when he was beaten by a neck in the Grade 2 Summit Juvenile Hurdle by Quel Destin.

That’s very strong form considering Paul Nicholls’ star was second favourite for the Triumph Hurdle last week, and he looks the best bet here.

15:00 KELSO

Across to Kelso now where I really like the chances of Olly Murhpy’s CALIPSO COLLONGES .

The seven-year-old was really impressive last year, notching up five wins from seven after finally getting off the mark.

His one run so far in 2019 was a decent effort when finishing second behind Tommy Silver at Ludlow in February and, nicely handicapped at 10-12, he should go close.

15:10 LINGFIELD

Some All Weather action now where Michael Wigham’s in-form EXECUTIVE FORCE  will take some beating.

The five-year-old has won five of his last six, with the only defeat to Mark Johnston’s odds-on favourite Matterhorn.

He earned a hard-fought victory at Wolverhampton last Saturday over Salute The Soldier and, despite being top weight at 9-7, I think he’ll still get the job done.

15:45 LINGFIELD

A Betway-sponsored race up next, where I think GEORGE BOWEN can claim a first win since July.

The seven-year-old has bags of experience having run 50 times in a range of big handicaps including at Ayr, Ascot and York.

He ran well two weeks ago at Wolverhampton and wasn’t far behind the winner Desert Doctor, so that should set him up nicely here.
