Laurina won this race last year by 48 lengths but I think we'll have a much more competitive affair this time.

The one I really like is SILVER FOREVER 7/4. She's got a solid record so far with four wins from seven, and is yet to finish outside the top three.

She managed to just about get the better of Floressa at Newbury in November but was well-beaten by her on the same course later that month.

I think the step up in trip will help here and she is the one to beat.

13:50 SANDOWN

Tom Lacey looks to have a very nice horse on his hands with JOHNBB 11/8.

A commanding victory over course and distance last time out is a huge form boost, when he also finished ahead of Darebin, who was the winner of this contest last year.

He's a smart jumper and should get the job done on Saturday.

14:25 SANDOWN

We have some Grade 1 action up next in the Tolworth Hurdle where I think FIDDLERONTHEROOF 2/1 is a worthy favourite.

His form since his debut at Limerick has been superb (21221), with a seven-length win over course and distance at the start of December particularly impressive.

Colin Tizzard has won this race in two of the last three years, and I think he can claim a hat-trick Saturday.

14:40 WINCANTON

We'll finish off at Wincanton, where Philip Hobbs' HORSE FORCE ONE 5/1 looks a very nice price in this field.

He's another who boasts some excellent form since making his debut (1133), with his performance when third at Exeter last time out looking like a nice form boost.

He finished behind Hang In There, who runs in the Tolworth Hurdle, and Getaway Fred that day, who ran well when third in the opener at Kempton on Boxing Day.

Nicely handicapped at 10-13, I think he'll be right in the mix.
