It’s been a week since Paddy Beggy shocked the world as 40/1 shot Wings Of Eagles swooped past Cliffs Of Moher to win The Derby.

That was an incredibly frustrating day as it ruined what looked like a very good 19/1 double.

However, there’s plenty of racing to get stuck into Saturday, including tips from Beverley, Catterick, Chester and Haydock.

Veteran Sir Geoffrey looks to continue his good form in 2017

We begin in the 2.15pm at Catterick where 11 are entered to dash home over 5f.

Not many of this field come into the race on particularly good form so it could be a wide-open contest.

However, I don’t think you can ignore Scott Dixon’s heroic Sir Geoffrey here.

An 11-year-old who made his debut all the way back in May 2008 has looked rejuvenated since the turn of the year, with form reading (613-21).

Having been at Dixon’s yard since 2011, he has certainly been a huge success for the stable.

He is a course and distance winner and his last two runs have also been on this course – finishing first and second.

Well handicapped at 9-1 and 142 runs under his belt, he looks a good bet at .

Fanning will have High Hopes of riding the winner in the Fillies’ handicap

We cross over to Beverley now with focus turning to the 3.50pm Fillies’ handicap.

There are five in the field to battle out this Class 3 over 1m 1f, and David Simock’s High Hopes ( ) looks the one to beat here.

So far, the filly has two wins and three placed finishes from her six runs.

Both the four-year-old’s wins came at Ffos Las last year and put in a good display, finishing second last time out on heavy ground at Doncaster.

Joe Fanning rides for the first time and is a man who traditionally does well on this course – with his last visit in May recording a 115/1 double.

Having 3 lbs less than Sagely should go in her favour, so she looks a safe bet.

Fahey eyeing successive wins in the Willow Water Handicap

Crossing over to Chester now for the 3.45pm Willow Water Handicap which was won last year by Richard Fahey’s Celebration.

His only entry on Saturday is Megan Lilly and she looks more than capable of getting the job done again.

She has just the one win so far - which came at Chelmsford last August - but does have four placed finishes in her 10 runs.

She was particularly impressive last time out when she finished second at the York Dante Festival as a 14/1 shot.

AJ McNamara rode that day and is the man on board again, looking to go one better.

Celebration won this race from stall 2 last year and that’s the same stall Megan Lilly has on Saturday.

Ajman Princess the best bet for the Betway Pinnacle Stakes

We finish off at Haydock for the feature race of the day – the 3.30pm Betway Pinnacle Stakes.

John Gosden’s Journey was a fine winner in this race last year, and this time 11 fillies look to battle out this Group 3 over 1m 3f.

Sir Michael Stoute’s Dubka ( ) looks one of the main contenders - having won four from seven - but she did flop last time out at Goodwood.

She was well beaten that day by Roger Varian’s Ajman Princess, though, who I think is set for a third win in a row.

The four-year-old has been impressive so far, including a runner-up in four successive races in her debut season.

Her only real disappointment was in the Irish Darley Oaks where she finished dead last. She really didn’t like the good ground that day.

Since then she has really turned a corner, winning a bit of a nothing-race at Lingfield as a 1/20 shot before impressing in the Warwick Stakes at Goodwood, winning by five lengths.

The ground that day was good to firm, which seems to be what she performs on best

Haydock is looking like it could be soft ground but I don’t think that will affect her at all, as two of her second places were on soft and good to soft.

At , she looks good to continue her winning run.
