1.40 – Class 2 Handicap Hurdle (Aintree)

The first tip is BEER GOGGLES  for Richard Woollacott.

He’s been in impressive form since February (311-21), including a big win in the Logistics Scotland Handicap Hurdle where he powered home by eight lengths.

The six-year-old is top weight at 11-12 so this will be his toughest test over 3m.

Mitchell Bastyan's 5lb claim could play in their favour and I think he’s got enough to secure the win here.

1.50 – Mares’ Handicap Hurdle (Wincanton)

I really like the chances of Alan King’s TARA VIEW in this one.

She won four in a row last season – three of which came at Ludlow –  and is proven over this 2m 5f distance.

She had a slightly disappointing run last time out when finishing well behind Saturday’s opponent Copper Kay  .

But I’m buoyant about her chances of getting back to winning ways here.

3.00 – Elite Hurdle (Wincanton)

I’ve tipped LONDON PRIZE  many times and he's rarely let me down, with big wins in the Imperial Cup and the Betway Northumberland Vase.

The versatile six-year-old goes back to jumps on Saturday following a really strong performance last time out when finishing second in the Cesarewitch.

TJ O’Brien was the man who rode that fantastic Imperial Cup win at Sandown in March and is the man on board again to claim the Elite Hurdle.

3.35 – Class 1 Handicap Chase (Wincanton)

Venetia Williams has two big chances here with Yala Enki  and VIC DE TOUZAINE  , but I think it’s the latter who has the best chance here.

The eight-year-old has only finished outside the top three once, though he has unseated the ride on two occasions.

He just held on to win a handicap chase at Carlisle last month when ridden by Wayne Hutchinson.

He’s the man on board again, and I think he certainly holds some each-way value.
