We start with the Sprint Stakes this year following a reshuffle of the card and I’m going to take a punt on CAPE BYRON  .

The five-year-old absolutely loves Ascot and has won his last three here, including the Victoria Cup, Wokingham and the Bengough Stakes two weeks ago.

He’s proven over 6f and shouldn’t have too much of a concern with the soft ground, so I think he’s worth an each-way bet.

STRADIVARIUS'   last defeat came in this race two years ago, but I can only see him extending his winning run to 11 here.

He’s lit up the stayers division over the last two seasons and is simply a winning machine. I think he’s a safe bet.

If you want some each-way value then I’d go with Roger Charlton’s WITHHOLD  .

The six-year-old doesn’t run that often, but has a glistening CV with the 2017 Cesarewitch and Northumberland Plate key highlights.

He’s actually won four of his last five and has only really flopped in the Ebor but I think that can be forgiven.

Jason Watson won Tony Bloom the Cesarewitch last weekend on board Stratum and does have a chance to deliver more success in these colours.

I’ve been very impressed with STAR CATCHER  in her last three trips and I’m expecting her to land a hat-trick of Group 1s in the Fillies and Mares.

She’s already beaten some of these field including Fleeting and Pink Dogwood in the Irish Oaks and ran on nicely in the Prix Vermeille last time out.

This could be another Group 1 for Frankie Dettori in what has been a remarkable season.

The QE II is up next and it’s a very open contest, but I’m swaying towards LORD GLITTERS  .

He won the Queen Anne this year finishing ahead of Beat The Bank, One Master and Romanised so that’s a huge form boost.

The six-year-old hasn’t quite kicked on since with disappointing outings in the Sussex Stakes and Juddmonte.

However, he is proven over 1m and does love this course having won the Balmoral in 2017 so at , I think he’s got an each-way shout.

The Champion Stakes is up next and I have no doubt that MAGICAL  is the best horse in this race.

Being a runner-up to Enable three times is no disgrace and she proved what a classy filly she is when she powered home in the Irish Champion Stakes in September.

I don’t think Donnacha gave her the best ride in the Arc and she does have an easier task in this field.

My only concern is how she handles the soft ground as she didn’t enjoy it here when second in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes.

16:40

We're finishing off with the Balmoral and I’m going to take a chance on another Tony Bloom horse in FLAMING SPEAR  .

His last victory came at Goodwood in August 2018 but he did beat a strong field including Cape Byron, Lake Volta and Vale Of Kent.

He relishes these big handicap fields and is proven over 1m, so I think this is a huge each-way bet.
