12:05 NEWBURY

We kick things off at Newbury with a Listed hurdle where I think SILVER FOREVER  will take all the beating.

She’s two from two so far over hurdles, including a very impressive win over course and distance last time out.

Harry Cobden and Paul Nicholls teamed up to win this race last year with Posh Trish and I think they have a great chance of repeating that success.

It's a really open handicap here, but I’m going to keep faith with Nicky Henderson’s THE CASHEL MAN .

The seven-year-old has had success over jumps and flat and his record over hurdles is very strong (2221).

A tidy round of jumping at Ffos Las in July got him off the mark under Jerry McGrath and I think he’s got a big chance in this field.

The Ladbrokes Trophy is up next and the one that’s really standing out to me is Gordon Elliot’s BORICE .

The eight-year-old is looking for a fourth win in a row following success at Uttoxeter, Perth and Galway.

I was there when he won the Galway Plate last time out and was very impressed with how he travelled to finish ahead of the likes of Peregrine Run and Black Corton.

He shouldn’t have any issues with the trip, so I think he’s got an each-way chance.

15:20 NEWCASTLE

We finish things off with Listed action at Newcastle where I think LAKE VIEW LAD  can defy top weight here.

I tipped him when he won the Grade 3 Meyrick Chase last Boxing Day and also when he finished a nice third in the Ultima at the Festival.

He never really got going in the Grand National, so I can forgive his last run but I’m hoping the course-and-distance winner can get back to winning ways.
