14:10 FAIRYHOUSE
Gordon Elliott has won this Grade A chase for the last three years, and I think he'll make it four with AVENIR D’UNE VIE SP.
He ran 10 times last year and had some big performances over hurdles at Kilbeggan and Downpatrick before a win over course and distance last time out.
That victory was even more impressive given he beat the winner of this contest in 2019 (Duca De Thaix) and 2018 (Doctor Phoenix).
Both are entered again, but I think the 10-year-old will take the spoils.
14:25 WARWICK
Some Grade 2 action now where I think SHAN BLUE 11/4 is the one to beat.
He responded really well last month, claiming his first win at Southwell by a monstrous 20 lengths in heavy conditions.
The Skeltons won this race last year with Beakstown and I think they’ve got a great chance of repeating that triumph.
14:40 KEMPTON
The Lazorate Hurdle is up next, and the one who has caught me eye is Philip Hobbs' LARKBARROW LAD 8/1.
His form in his last six runs reads superbly (2221-21), including a smart win last time out at Worcester.
The seven-year-old has two placed finishes on this course, including a third behind Pym in a bumper in 2018.
Having proven himself over 2m4f, I think he'll go well here.
15:45 KEMPTON
Finishing off with the final race at Kempton, I'm keen to give NEVER ADAPT SP another go.
I've followed this horse closely and was at Cheltenham when she went off far too keen in the 2018 JCB Trial, but Nicky Henderson seems to have calmed her down since.
Her warm-up when third at Cheltenham in December was impressive, as she was less than two lengths behind Repetitio and really powered up the hill at the end.
I think there's a lot more to come from this mare so that would be my best bet.
