We begin with a competitive handicap but I think the favourite IMPERIAL AURA  will be tough to beat.

Kim Bailey’s seven-year-old has a brilliant record with four wins and two placed finishes from seven.

A decent effort behind Pym here in December was pretty eye-catching and, with him already proven over 2m 4f, I think he’s a good bet.

14:05 DONCASTER

BOSS MAN FRED   is three from three so far and I think he’ll claim this Grade 2 to remain unbeaten.

A win over course and distance last time out was very impressive as he romped home by nine lengths.

His jumping is solid, he has bags of stamina and also a weight advantage over Champagne Well, so he’s the one I’d go for.

14:25 CHELTENHAM

I was not impressed with Santini’s first run of the season at Sandown so I'm keen to swerve him and take a chance on a bigger price in SLATE HOUSE .

This eight-year-old has really impressed me this season with a tidy win at Cheltenham in October, and he looked like he was going to power home in the BetVictor Gold Cup just a month later before falling.

He was superb in the Kauto Star on Boxing Day to land a big Grade 1 ahead of Black Op and, at this price, I think he’s worth a bet.

14:40 DONCASTER

We finish off in the Yorkshire Rose Mares’ Hurdle where LADY BUTTONS   should retain her crown.

I absolutely love this horse and, having won seven out of her last 11, she’s become a real superstar.

She won one of the races of the season last time out in a thrilling battle to get up against Happy Diva, and is proven over hurdles and fences.

I do like Floressa   and think she poses a huge threat, but I’d still go for Philip Kirby’s star.
