13:45 HAYDOCK
We kick things off with a Betway-sponsored race and an open three-year-old contest where the one that stands out is MIND THE CRACK 3/1.
He put in a solid effort here when third last October over 1m2f and finally got off the mark with ease last time out, sailing home by five lengths.
Mark Johnston had the winner in this race last year and I think he's got a great chance of doing so again.
14:45 NEWMARKET
Across to racing HQ now for another wide-open handicap where Patrick Chamings' WHAT A WELCOME 13/2 should go well.
The five-year-old has eight wins from 14 starts, including three from his last five.
He pushed the unbeaten King's Advice to the very end last time out and was just beaten by a nose over this distance. That's a huge form boost in this field and I think he'll go close.
15:15 BEVERLEY
We'll turn our attention to Beverley now, where OH PURPLE REIGN 15/8 should win the battle of the two-year-olds.
The colt was a very impressive 12/1 winner on debut at Nottingham last month, but what really caught the eye was how well he ran on into second behind Pinatubo at Epsom last week.
The drop down to 5f should suit and I think he's the one to beat.
15:35 HAYDOCK
Finishing with some Group 3 action in the Betway John Of Gaunt Stakes, I'm struggling to see past the favourite SAFE VOYAGE 3/1.
The six-year-old has been superb over the past year having won four of his last five, three of which were in fields with 12 or more runners.
He's three from three on this course, including a Listed race last time out where he beat some of Saturday's field including Mankib and Suedois. That's huge form that leaves me struggling to find a reason why he might get beat.
