The Epsom Derby is just a week away.

Before that, though, there’s still some top-quality racing to sink your teeth into.

Aidan O’Brien announced on Friday that Minding would miss Royal Ascot, but he could have a smile on his face come Saturday afternoon with Washington DC.

Here are four picks across Goodwood, Haydock and York, including your weekly boosted double.

Andrea Atzeni eyeing back-to-back wins in the opener at Goodwood

We start in the 2.00pm at Goodwood, where seven will contest the 1m 1f.

Andrea Atzeni won this race last year on board Decorated Night and looks a good bet to repeat that triumph on Mount Logan.

The six-year-old is a course and distance winner after victory at this meeting last year in the Tapster Stakes.

He had a mixed season last year with only two wins from six, but was beaten by the likes of Kings Fete and Betway Yorkshire Cup winner Dartmouth.

He was slightly disappointing on this course last time out when finishing third, but won impressively at Doncaster by six lengths in early September.

Atzeni has ridden 10 of his 18 rides and his strong relationship with Roger Varian means this looks a good bet at .

Line Of Reason looks a good punt in the York Sprint Handicap

Over to York now for their feature race – the 3.50pm Sprint Handicap.

David O’Meara always has great success on this course, and is the reason why Out Do is among those at the top of the market.

Hurricane Harry won this race last year and is back again to try and repeat that feat as a 14/1 shot.

However, the one that looks a good bet here is experienced seven-year-old Line Of Reason.

Trained by Paul Midgley since 2013, and with 44 runs for his yard, he has had a relatively successful career.

He is a previous course and distance winner and his last appearance in a big handicap was on this course in the Symphony Group Stakes, where he finished fourth in a field of 20.

While others have had more rest, Line Of Reason has been over in Meydan and put in some gutsy performances against Desert Law, Ertijaal and Medicean Man.

Paul Mulrennan is in fine form with six wins from the past week and is the man to ride again.

At  he looks a good each-way punt.

Washington DC the one to beat in the Temple Stakes

Next up is the 4.05pm Temple Stakes, which is one of the biggest races of the day.

Clive Cox’s Profitable won this race last year with Adam Kirby on board and the pair are back to try and repeat that with Priceless.

He won on debut on this course as a 20/1 shot and, having won two from his last three, he will have a good chance here.

Quiet Reflection is a course and distance winner here and is two from two including the Sprint Cup in September.

The only real concern is the ground, which is why Aidan O’Brien’s Washington DC looks the best bet here.

The four-year-old looks like he’s back to his best judging by his last two rides.

A big win in the Woodlands Stakes at Navan in April was followed by a strong runner-up to Marsha in the Palace House Stakes three weeks ago.

Jockey Wayne Lordan rides for the first time and, having already delivered on Winter in the 1000 Guineas for Aidan O’Brien, he will be confident of rewarding his trust again.

At  he looks the best bet here.

Haggas’ filly to continue her winning Flow

We finish the day in the 4:35pm Cecil Frail Stakes where 14 are entered to battle out the 6f.

Clem Fandango is well-handicapped here at 8-11 and with champion jockey Jim Crowley on board, she should have a great chance.

Clive Cox’s conveniently named Go On Go On Go On could be a real contender with four wins from eight but seems better suited to 5f.

William Haggas’ Gravity Flow is the form horse having recorded four wins and three seconds from his first seven runs, and for that reason looks the likely winner.

The filly has won four times over this distance and was eyeing a five-timer last time out but finished second in a Class 1 at Newmarket.

She’s got real natural speed and Pat Cosgrave will be looking forward to riding again. She looks a good bet at .
