The opening leg of 4 To Win is a competitive contest over 1m4f.

William Haggas is in great form and saddles both Dal Horrisgle , who was well beaten last time out, and Country , who was an easy winner of a handicap at Newmarket.

Both will be very popular selections, but I think there’s a case to be made for ALMANIA on his second start for David Simcock. He showed ability when trained by Sir Michael Stoute and was highly tried. 

He finished third on his stable debut at Royal Ascot and if his trainer can eke any further improvement out, he could go close under Ryan Moore.

15:05 ASCOT

The Valliant Fillies’ Stakes is a Group 3 over a mile.

AGINCOURT  has run three times this season and has finished behind Nazeef in all three runs, so her connections will be delighted to see her name in the race card this time around.

This is much easier than the races she’s been contesting and, under Ryan Moore, she must have a great chance and is sure to be a popular pick.

15:55 YORK

The third leg is a wide-open contest over two miles at York, but I think a popular selection will be MONSIEUR LAMBRAYS , and for good reason.

This horse has been in my tracker from his first ever racecourse start and has improved with racing too. He has won three of his last five starts and finished second and third on the other two.

He stays well and keeps galloping, so you would think two miles on a big galloping track such as York will be to his liking.

16:30 YORK

The final leg of 4 To Win is a seven furlong handicap for horses rated 0-80.

CABALLERO  is one for the Chelsea fans and while he has not been convincing in two starts on the turf this term, there has been some promise.

Those races were much stronger than this. He is well-handicapped on the best of his form and if he comes back to that, he could have a very good chance dropped back in trip.
