The 2m Handicap Hurdle is as competitive a race as you’ll find, with 23 runners going to post.

Winner Takes Itall looks very progressive and he was a good second last time. He sneaks in at the bottom of the handicap and Mark Walsh takes the ride.

Tiger Tap Tap could also run well at a huge price for Willie Mullins.

Farclas  caught the eye on his latest start, where he finished fifth in very good handicap at Punchestown. It was his first run of the season, so he should improve for that run.

He struggled in his second season over hurdles, which plenty of horses do, but he has looked much improved over fences and has plenty of class.

Course form is always important and Erick Le Rouge has won three handicaps at Kempton. Following his wind op, I think he could run well here.

He was disappointing last time out, but he has since had surgery, so there was something amiss that needed to be fixed.

He does need to prove he stays 3m, but there is no easier place to find out than Kempton.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing Cadzand  run again after he absolutely bolted up at Warwick last time.

I thought he could have gone up into graded races, but his shrewd connections have decided to go down the handicap route, which will give him some good experience.

He’s very smart, has always been very highly touted and he should take all of the beating here.
