13:15 SANDOWN
The Dragon Stakes opens the card at Sandown on Eclipse Day. It is run over five furlongs in the centre of the course.
It often pays to be drawn low and against the rail on that particular course at Sandown, so it’ll be no surprise to see CREATIVE FORCE
He looked very smart when he was successful on his debut at Newmarket and, while he was slightly disappointing at Royal Ascot, he did show up for a long way on the wrong side of the track.
I think he’ll give a better showing here. The race isn’t the strongest and he looks the most forward of the two-year-olds.
14:25 SANDOWN
The Henry II Stakes is a marathon staying contest run over two miles.
This race has four contenders from the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, and, of those, I expect CROSS COUNTER
He won’t mind any juice in the ground and seemingly stays all day. He was given plenty to do in the Gold Cup and stayed on at the end of the race. With William Buick back in the saddle, I expect him to take all of the beating.
15:00 SANDOWN
William Haggas’ MONTATHAM
This is less of a challenge for him and I do think he’ll be suited by Sandown’s uphill finish. He’s the chosen mount of Jim Crowley and, with his yard in flying form, I do think he’ll be very tough to beat.

The Gala Stakes is the last leg of the 4 To Win and, while it looks hugely competitive, I’m siding with Betway Ambassador Andrew Balding’s FOX CHAIRMAN
He is still lightly-raced but did show some very good form last year, showcasing his natural ability, and will have learnt from that recent run at Ascot.
