With £10,000 up for grabs on Sunday, here are Chad Yeomans' best horse racing tips for Newmarket and Haydock to get you started.

14:25 NEWMARKET

The first leg of Sunday's 4 To Win is a 0-105 handicap at Newmarket with the field topped by Sir Michael Stoute’s four-year-old, Davydenko, who was only beaten once last season.

He’s improved with each run and clearly relishes top of the ground, but has found himself rated 105 and it’ll be some performance if he were to give weight away all round on his first start of the season.

For that reason, I’d side with the in-form Betway ambassador Andrew Balding, who saddles the Cambridgeshire third, GOOD BIRTHDAY.

He won on his seasonal debut last year, proving he can go well fresh, and this extra furlong to that run in the Cambridgeshire will be of no inconvenience to him.

He’s lightly-raced, still improving and, with his stable in flying form, I think he’ll take all of the beating.

14:40 HAYDOCK

The Betway Brigadier Gerard Stakes is the highlight on a superb card at Haydock, and what a race it’s shaping up to be.

SANGARIUS skipped the Betway Paradise Stakes at Newmarket on Friday to come here, with the hope that there may be just a little more juice in the ground.

He’s a smart horse who won the Hampton Court at the Royal meeting last year and is a typical slow-maturing type with which his trainer excels. 

Telecaster burst on to the scene last year with an explosive maiden win at Windsor followed by a success in the Dante Stakes at York.

He wasn’t the same horse again and it was a case of too much too soon but, if the enforced break has helped his maturity, then he’s got the natural ability to go well.

15:00 NEWMARKET

The Pretty Polly is often a good pointer for The Oaks, having produced many winners of the fillies' classic. It’s an exciting race on paper with many of these fillies sure to go on to Group race success in their careers.

QUEEN DAENERYS apparently means something to Game of Thrones fans, but to me, she’s of interest in this race.

She raced three times as a two-year-old and started off in a maiden at Ascot behind Cloak Of Spirits, who runs in today’s 1000 Guineas. She stayed on strongly over 7f to finish second and gained her first success on her second career start when seeing out the mile trip well at Newmarket.

She was then pitched into Group 1 company behind Quadrilateral and, whilst she was one of the first off the bridle, she kept on gamely despite her inexperience.

She has a long stride like her sire, Frankel, and this step up in trip looks sure to suit her.

Ralph Beckett’s filly Trefoil was a good winner on her debut and we saw some money for her for The Oaks in the early part of the spring, so it would be no surprise to see her go close in this race too.

15:15 HAYDOCK

The Listed Betway Spring Trophy Stakes is another race with the maximum 12 runners, and is one that looks fiercely competitive.

Whilst there are reservations about the trip for some of the contenders who may prefer a mile over this 7f, this step up in trip will suit LORD OF THE LODGE down to the ground.

He’s an improving three-year-old who gets a very handy weight allowance and his trainer has his horses in glowing form as the season has resumed.

He was highly tried as a two-year-old and that highlights how much his connections thought of him. He has the benefit of a more recent run than most having won at Newcastle in February and, alongside the weight allowance, will run a huge race.
