Sometimes, all it takes for a horse to recapture their old form is a change of scenery, and I’m hoping that a move from Richard Hughes’ yard to David Barron’s will help the talented ANOTHER BATT  find his best.

This time last year he was running off a mark in the hundreds and was campaigned in the best handicaps around.

He even managed to win off a mark of 104 in Dubai at the beginning of last year. Now rated 93, the handicapper has given this horse a real chance and now could be a good time to catch him.

LADY NECTAR  scooted clear of her rivals last time out at Catterick on her first start at six furlongs.

She clearly relished the step up in trip that day and looked a horse who was still improving. Under Joe Fanning, I expect her to be ridden handy in this big field handicap.

She is still lightly-raced and unexposed, which makes her an attractive proposition in this race full of exposed handicappers.

Only a field of five go to post in this 1m2f handicap, but FIRST WINTER  is the most appealing. The three-year-old gelding is just start to get it together now.

He’s well-bred and has bumped into a few smart sorts in the past, but he made no mistake last time out over course and distance, and should follow up.

The final leg of 4 To Win is a handicap over 1m3f.

LABEEBB  showed enough speed over 1m4f last time to suggest he’ll cope with the drop in trip here. It took the colt three starts before he was successful, but he bolted up at Newmarket last time and was well supported in the market beforehand, too.

His opening mark of 79 looks very workable and it looks as though he’ll be tough to beat under James Doyle.
