13:10 Leopardstown – Dysart Diamond (each-way)

I was really impressed with the way Dysart Diamond won here over Christmas. She had plenty to do three out but made up loads of ground and ended up winning comfortably.

I don’t think the step up in trip will be an inconvenience and she could give the Mullins/Townend team a good start to the day.

15:10 Leopardstown – Janidil (each-way)

Make no mistake, I think Monkfish will win this race, but he is going to be odds-on and the value in the race lies elsewhere.

I think that Janidil has been crying for this step up in trip and in time, will want even further. He was a staying on fifth in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham last year, showing he does have ability. He’s getting it together and this test will suit him better than his previous races over fences.

16:10 Leopardstown – Farclas  (each-way)

Not many horses in the field can boast the CV that Farclas has and he should run a big race in this 2m5f Handicap Chase.

Winners of the Triumph Hurdle do tend to want further later in their careers. He won his first three starts over fences, before getting an injury and missing 522 days.

Since coming back, he’s finished fifth in a good race at Punchestown and third in a hot contest at Leopardstown last time. A reproduction of that form should see him bang there.

16:35 Southwell – Big Impact (each-way)

Big Impact is a course-and-distance winner who has caught the eye in numerous starts at this course.

He clearly relishes a fibresand surface and ran well here last time out, where he was well-backed. His yard are in great form and I expect him to very close under Kieran Shoemark.

4 To Win (£10,000 jackpot)

13:40 Leopardstown – Ha D'or

Ha D’or was a good third in a Grade 2 on his stable debut and will have no doubt benefitted from that run.

14:40 Leopardstown – Damalisque

Damalisque bolted up at Navan last week and should be very tough to beat if in the same vein of form.

15:40 Leopardstown – Delta Work

Delta Work hasn’t hit the heights that he once promised, but this is a fairly average edition of the Irish Gold Cup and I think he’ll be ridden to come for them at the last.

16:10 Leopardstown – Farclas

Farclas has run well on both of his starts this season and a reproduction of his latest third should see him go close.
