13:05 Navan – Coko Beach

Coko Beach was electric in the Thyestes last time and he should be much too good for his rivals in the Ten Up Chase.

He’s always threatened to improve for going over this trip and I think he’ll keep doing so as he gets more experience under his belt.

15:25 Navan - Ragnar Lodbrok

It’s really trappy little affair, but Ragnar Lodbrok has run well on each of his starts this season.

He was never competitive over a trip too short last time, but back to 3m, I expect him to go very well.

He’ll need to win this to earn himself a crack at the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham next month.

16:52 Uttoxeter – Fugitif  (each-way)

It’s not the most competitive race of the weekend, and on the form he’s shown so far he does have to show improvement, but I was taken with the way Fugitif has travelled on his last few starts.

It’s his second run back from having wind surgery, which plenty of people say is where you start to see the improvement from the operation.

He ran well on heavy ground in France and I expect him to do so again in this 0-120 handicap hurdle.

4 To Win

13:50 Newbury – Es Perfecto

He could be better than handicap class. He has an entry in the Albert Bartlett and should be going close in this if he’s to take up that engagement next month.

14:47 Navan – French Dynamite

He’s improving with every start and gets weight from Fury Road, which will be a big advantage in the testing conditions.

15:35 Newbury – Cadzand

He’s improving and is a very smart horse. He’s taken a while to get it together, but it looks like it’s starting to click. His yard are in good form, too.

16:10 Newbury - Hold The Note

First run back following wind surgery and if that’s helped him he could be well handicapped. His third at the Cheltenham Festival last season is strong form.
