Our tipster makes his picks and highlights a few fancies in Sunday's racing at Ayr and Wincanton.

14:25 AYR – THYME WHITE (each-way) 11/2

We’ve definitely not seen the best of THYME WHITE, who has caught the eye on every start this season including his win on good ground at Chepstow.

He’s been unlucky, but will have learned from his runs in big field handicaps and this strong travelling horse will appreciate coming off the pace.

He’s got great each-way claims.

15:25 WINCANTON – SCANNING (each-way) 9/4

It’s a field of five in the bumper, but that won’t be a problem for speedily-bred SCANNING. He’s been off since his debut on Boxing Day, where finished well but towards the back of the field in a strong race over course and distance.

While he was very green on his debut, he did show promise, especially as it progressed. Market support will be telling for this five-year-old, who will appreciate the quicker ground more than most of his rivals.

16:10 AYR – ASHINGTON (each-way) 11/2

It was good to see ASHINGTON get back to winning ways last time out. He’s not had much luck in his career, but hosed up on his second start for Brian Ellisonon good ground at Sedgefield.

He’s a strong traveller, who has plenty of pace and I think there is still milage in his mark of 127.
