There is lots of racing action to keep up with today, a Racing League fixture at Chepstow being the highlight, and we have two bets from that fixture plus two from the Irish jumps meeting at Sligo.

EXECUTIVE DECISION 4/1 (Chepstow 18:30)

COOLE CHERRY SP (Sligo 17:35)

WESEEKHERTHERE SP (Sligo 19:05)

MAJESTIC 11/4 (Chepstow 19:30)

Majestic to impress

The William Hill Enhanced Odds Every Day Racing League Race 12 Handicap over 1m2f is a competitive-looking affair, featuring last year's Cambridgeshire winner MAJESTIC 11/4 and he can get off the mark for the season (Chepstow 19:30).

Though he was below form in the John Smith's Cup at York last time, this is much less competitive and some of his runs earlier this season, including a fourth in the Lincoln on heavy ground, give him every chance here.

The Jack Channon yard is in decent form and he can score under Charles Bishop off 4lb higher than when winning last autumn's Newmarket cavalry charge. His principal danger looks to be the Ed Walker-trained and Saffie Osborne-ridden Fantasy Believer, who won at Newmarket over this trip on his last start and is just 2lb higher.

Executive gets the decision

However, Saffie Osborne, who was the leading rider in the Racing League series in 2022, shouldn't go away empty handed from this fixture. She has a solid chance of winning the William Hill Epic Value Racing League Race 10 Handicap over 6f (Chepstow 18:30).

She rides EXECUTIVE DECISION 4/1 for her father Jamie, and this 3yo filly can follow up her win at Goodwood last week under a 6lb penalty. The ground was good-to-soft that day but she handled heavy ground when trained by Jessica Harrington in Ireland and so will have no trouble in these conditions.

Her best runs in the Emerald Isle came at undulating tracks Navan and Naas, similar to Goodwood and Chepstow, so she is at her best around this type of circuit. Other last-time-out winners, Society Lion and Momaer, look to be her biggest dangers.

Cherry topping

The fare is less exalted at Sligo in the west of Ireland but there are two short-priced favourites that can be backed.

In the Martin Reilly Hyundai Mares Maiden Hurdle (Sligo 17:35), the Willie Mullins/Paul Townend combination can hit the target with COOLE CHERRY SP. Though she was runner-up in four bumpers, including a twice beaten favourite, which might raise questions, she is bred to come into her own over hurdles and this race doesn't have much strength in depth.

Weseekherthere worth finding

In the Mulhern Leonard Chartered Accountants Maiden Hurdle (Sligo 19:05), it can be the turn of the other powerful axis of Irish NH racing, Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy, to score.

Their mare WESEEKHERTHERE SP, is a bumper winner who looked in need of further when third on hurdling debut over 2m1f at Ballinrobe last time and this 2m4f trip can bring about the necessary improvement.
