Mums Tipple

Mums Tipple was all the rage before his debut success at Ascot where he managed to beat a field of newcomers despite being very green and doing everything he could not to win.

He clearly possesses lots of talent and runs for connections who won this race two years ago with Tangled.

I'd be very surprised if he doesn't turn out to be Group class, and he should conquer this assignment before moving on to bigger targets in the autumn.

Dance Diva | Stay Classy

The final race on day two of the Ebor Festival is a Fillies' Handicap where I'm quite sweet on two runners, both as each-way shots.

Dance Diva is the first, who has slipped to a very attractive mark 10lbs lower than the mark off which she won a Listed race last year.

She hasn't run badly in her two starts this season – certainly better than the bare form suggests – and she should be spot-on for this.

The other horse I'm expecting to go off at a huge price is Richard Spencer's Stay Classy. She has been highly-tried on all her starts this season and again, has ran much better than the bare form suggests.

She has looked as though 6f has been too short on her previous two starts, doing all of her best work late on. This step up to 7f could bring out enough improvement for her to go close.
