With Betway giving away a £5 free bet when you place a £1-per-line Yankee any day this week, I’ve decided to get stuck into Tuesday’s cards.

LEG 1: CRAIGNEICHE (13:35 Doncaster)

I like the prospects of this Flemensfirth gelding for trainer Nicky Henderson and jockey Nico de Boinville, who made an impressive start to life when bolting up in a Market Rasen bumper last June.

He then appeared again at Newbury in December, when he reportedly ran green, but did all his best work late on and caught the eye in behind The Big Breakaway, who looks sure to be winning top-level races in the future.

With that experience on his back, winning a maiden hurdle should be a formality, and this could be the one.

LEG 2: WHO WHAT WHEN (15:05 Exeter)

My second selection is likely to be second-favourite behind Harry Fry’s Whitehotchillifilli, who was an easy winner last time but does have a penalty to concede.

Who Want When is no mug, and showed her talent when winning on her first two starts, including a Listed bumper at Market Rasen.

She’s not been too bad in her few runs since and was a very good fifth at Newbury behind Mister Coffey in her most-recent appearance.

Back against her own sex, she’ll go very close here.

LEG 3: GOSHEVEN (15:40 Exeter)

We’re yet to see the best of Gosheven, but he’s got plenty of ability and I’m sure he’ll kick-start his career with a victory here.

He was off for a long period of time but finished a good fourth on his comeback run recently. With that race on his side, and in this weaker field, he should be very hard to stop.

LEG 4: EYES RIGHT (15:40 Doncaster)

It’s worth putting Eyes Right in here too for Alan King and Tom Cannon.

This horse is incredibly well-handicapped off 112, and will make a mockery of that mark following two runs this season.

The best of those came on her seasonal debut at Newbury, when she was doing her best work late on behind Silver Forever, who has gone on to win again since.

She was disappointing at Fontwell on her most-recent start, but I’ve seen plenty of good horses not get on with that figure-of-eight course, and Doncaster will be much more to her liking.
