12:55 WOLVERHAMPTON

With Betway offering money back if your horses finishes second at Wolverhampton on Wednesday, I’ve dived into the card to find a worthy bet to take advantage of this generous offer.

The opening handicap looks wide open.

Recent winner Dark Phoenix heads the market under an in-form Ben Curtis.

He could well be a worthy favourite, but this isn’t the strongest of races and, in light of the offer, I’m taking a chance on ARABESCATO , who shaped with plenty of promise last time out.

He was trained by Richard Spencer as a two-year-old last year and was well-beaten in a maiden and novice race in his two runs for that stable.

However, they were both hot contests that were won by very useful horses.

Since moving to Nick Littmoden, he has shown distinct promise, doing his best work towards the end of his races.

We might not see the best of him until he moves up in trip again, but he’s worth chancing on in this weak affair.
