Our expert reveals his best tips for four races on the second day of the York Ebor festival.

I backed SACRED 15/8 at Royal Ascot and I’m keeping faith with her again in this Group 2.

A nice win on debut was followed up with a second behind Wesley Ward’s Campanelle in the Queen Mary, which is the best form in this race.

14:15

This is another race where I’m struggling to see past a favourite in DEVIOUS COMPANY 2/1.

The colt has very nice form (1122) with those seconds behind unbeaten Godolphin star Masters Of The Seas and Battleground who won at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood.

I think Tom Dascombe has a very nice two-year-old here with lots of potential.

A nice open handicap is up next where I’ll be looking for each-way value, starting with PROMPTING 13/2.

The four-year-old has won four on the bounce for David O’Meara including over course and distance in July and the Golden Mile at Glorious Goodwood last month.

Nicely handicapped at 8-9, I think he’ll be right up there.

The other one I like is last year’s winner WHAT’S THE STORY 16/1.

Keith Dalgleish and Shane Gray had a great start to the week with two big placed-finishes on Wednesday.

This course seems to get the best out of this horse so I think he’s a solid each-way bet.

16:20

Finishing with a Nursery and I like the look of Andrew Balding’s BONNYRIGG 11/2.

A decent second on debut was followed up with a hard-fought victory at Newmarket edging out Majd Al Arab and City Code.

Really nicely handicapped at 8-6, I think he’ll get the job done.
