I tipped DARK VISION   when he won at Royal Ascot and I’m going to keep faith with the four-year-old here.

He certainly looks back to his best this year (2121). Victory in the Royal Hunt Cup was the major success during that run, though the two seconds were behind Montatham and Sir Busker, who have won and finished second this week.

That’s a big form boost and he should take this Group 3.

A STAR ABOVE   is another who has really come to life this year – winning nicely at Thirsk and Leicester when racing restarted before being marginally beaten by Mambo Nights  last month at Goodwood.

He’s very nicely handicapped here, carrying 8-10 and, given William Haggas won this race with Hamish last year, I think he can repeat that triumph.

We’re paying five places on the Ebor Handicap so I’ve gone for two each-way picks.

My main fancy is Nicky Henderson’s VERDANA BLUE  , who has won a Grade 1 over hurdles and should suit conditions here.

She ran an absolute blinder in the Ascot Stakes before she was caught late on the outside by Coeur De Lion.

He’s got bags of stamina and Ryan Moore’s mount means she should be right up there.

I’m also drawn to another with jumps experience in ALRIGHT SUNSHINE .

Four wins, two seconds and a third from nine career runs is very solid, while he also put in a respectable run in the Betway Sagaro Stakes, which was won by Nayef Road, before finishing mid-division at Royal Ascot.

Trainer Keith Dalgleish and Shane Gray have had some success this week and could be among the places again.

The final tip comes in a very open handicap where I fancy another from the Haggas yard in SINJAARI  .

He was a superb winner over course and distance last time out, powering home by a length in the John Smith’s Cup in a strong field.

He does carry 9-9, so it will be a tough ask, but I’m optimistic that Tom Marquand can get the job done.
