Horse racing tips from Betway Insider
The Betway Insider provides a wide range of horse racing tips covering both the Flat and National Hunt seasons. The majority of our tips are for race meetings in the UK and Ireland, but we also cover the occasional international meeting in France, Dubai and elsewhere.
Our experts produce tips on a weekly basis throughout the year, covering the biggest races in the UK and Ireland each weekend. We also provide tips for the occasional midweek meeting in line with Betway’s offers.
We also offer daily betting tips throughout the major events in the horse racing calendar, including Cheltenham Festival, the Aintree Grand National Festival, Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood, the Epsom Derby, the 1000 and 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, the Doncaster St Leger, the York Ebor, All-Weather Championships and King George weekend at Haydock.
All of our horse racing tips are free, with several types of tips produced by the resident experts at the Insider.
Who are the Betway Insider tipsters?
All of our horse racing tipsters have several years’ experience within the racing industry and have a strong track record of producing profit.
When are horse racing tips published?
Betway Insider produce racing tips on a regular basis throughout both the jump and flat seasons, as well as tips covering every day of all the major UK racing festivals.
Our tips will always be published on our website by 17:30 on the day before the race, at the very latest.
What types of horse racing tips do Betway provide?
For every weekend of racing action throughout the year our tipsters will pick out four or five of their best tips to win that weekend.
They will also select two horses they fancy for a win double and the four they like the look of in a Lucky 15.
On top of regular tips, they will also provide tips for Betway’s free-to-play prediction game, 4 To Win. To play, you simply need to select a winner from four selected races every weekend for the chance to win up to £10,000, and more at major festivals.
As well as contributions from our in-house experts, Betway Insider also publish regular columns from our horse racing ambassadors Katie Walsh, Ross O’Sullivan and Andrew Balding.
Katie Walsh is a former jump jockey who is one of the most successful female riders ever, with more than 100 wins to her name.
She rode three winners at the Cheltenham Festival, including Relegate in the Champion Bumper in 2018, and secured the best ever finish for a female jockey at the Aintree Grand National on Seabass in 2012.
Ross O’Sullivan is an up-and-coming trainer of both flat and jump horses, with his Kildare yard producing several winners across both codes in recent years.
Andrew Balding is one of the most established Flat trainers in Great Britain, with 17 full seasons under his belt producing more than 1,300 winners.
How do you bet on horse racing?
If you are unsure of how betting odds work, read our handy guide which provides you with all the information you need to start betting.
When you’re ready to place a bet, your first option is to head to the Betway Insider website to read through our experts’ horse racing tips. Each article will have a link to the sportsbook, where you can then place your bet.
Otherwise you can head straight to the Betway sportsbook to place your bet.
The most popular market on the sportsbook for horse racing betting is the race winner market, in which you place a bet on a horse to win a race outright.
Another popular market is the each-way bet, regularly presented as E/W on the sportsbook. When you back a horse each-way you are placing two bets – one on the horse to win outright and one on the horse to place. The sportsbook will set out how many places are available for each race – some races will offer more places than others, depending on the event and the number of horses running.
If you want to lengthen the odds of your bet, then you can place multi-selection wagers such as a Yankee or a Lucky 15.
A Lucky 15 bet is a four-selection wager that consists of 15 different bets: four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold accumulator.
A Yankee bet is a four-selection wager similar to a Lucky 15, but it consists of just 11 different bets: six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold accumulator. It is essentially a Lucky 15 minus the singles.
You are also able to place win doubles and each-way doubles, win trebles and each-way trebles, and accumulator bets of four horses or more.
Other multi-selection wagers that are available include Canadian, Lucky 31, Heinz, Lucky 63, Super Heinz, and Goliath bets.
What other tips are available?
