Oakland Athletics to beat Baltimore Orioles

After opening their season with a six-game losing streak, the Athletics are now 12-7, having won their last 11 in a row.

Oakland has gone 4-1 on the road so far this season and should maintain its hot streak in the first game of this series in Baltimore.

The Orioles are 8-10 this season and have lost six of the seven games at their own ballpark.

Taking the mound for the A’s will be Cole Irvin, who is 1-2 with a 4.60 ERA but is coming off a win in which he gave up four hits in six scoreless innings.

He faces a winnable match-up against Jorge Lopez, who is also 1-2 this season but has an ERA of 8.56.

Pittsburgh Pirates to beat Minnesota Twins

The Pirates have made a 9-10 start to the season and won eight of their last 12 games, and they look a good value play in Minnesota.

The Twins have lost nine of their last 10, and they’re 2-5 at home.

Pittsburgh also has the pitching advantage here, based on the season so far, as starter JT Brubaker is 2-0 through three starts, allowing just 11 hits across all three games with an ERA of just 1.76.

Starting for the Twins will be J.A. Happ, who has posted a solid 3.12 ERA but is yet to make it through five innings in a game this season.

Colorado Rockies to beat Philadelphia Phillies

The Rockies have gone 6-12 to start the season, but they’ve won three of their last four and should win this game against Philadelphia in Colorado.

Although the Phillies are 9-9 and top the NL East, they’ve gone 1-5 on the road so far, while Colorado is 6-6 at home.

Vince Velasquez opened the season in the bullpen but is set to start for the Phillies. He gave up four runs in his first appearance of 2021 and currently has an ERA of 9.00 through just four total innings.

Velasquez is up against German Marquez, who is 1-1 through four starts after picking up the win against the New York Mets last Saturday. Marquez allowed two runs on two hits and two walks in seven innings, and now has an ERA of 3.57.

Los Angeles Dodgers to beat San Diego Padres

The Dodgers are again looking like the best team in baseball, with an MLB-leading 14-5 record including six wins out of seven at home.

LA lost the opening game of this series, but should bounce back with Clayton Kershaw on the mound on Friday. The 33-year-old has picked up the decision in his last three starts – allowing no runs across his last two – and now has an ERA of just 2.19.

The Padres have made a solid 11-10 start to the season, but they’ve lost seven of their last 10.

Starter Yu Darvish has also been excellent ever since a difficult opening start of 2021, allowing just three runs across 20 total innings in his last three appearances, so this should be a great pitching duel.
