Cincinnati Reds to beat Milwaukee Brewers

This looks like great value on one of the hottest teams in baseball.

Cincinnati has won five straight and 12 of its last 15 to climb to within three games of Milwaukee and the Chicago Cubs at the top of the NL Central.

That run includes wins in the first two games of this three-game set, with a sweep on the cards on Wednesday.

Starting for the Reds is Tyler Mahle, who is 6-2 through 13 starts with a 3.56 ERA. Mahle has earned the decision in each of his last four starts.

Milwaukee will hope the form of Freddy Peralta can help them salvage something from this series. He owns a 6-1 record with a 2.25 ERA, but has taken two no-decisions in two starts against the Reds this season.

Oakland Athletics to beat Los Angeles Angels

The Angels came into this series having won six straight to go above .500, but have dropped the first two against their divisional rivals to dip below it again.

Oakland has now won five in a row to take a 2.5 game lead at the top of the AL West, and this looks like decent value on them to finish off the sweep on Wednesday.

On the mound for the Athletics will be Cole Irvin, who is 4-7 on the season but coming off two very solid outings in which he went six innings and gave up no more than two runs.

His opposite number will be Griffin Canning, who has gone 5-4 on the season but holds an elevated 5.22 ERA.

Canning has struggled against Oakland in the past, too, going 1-3 over six previous starts, giving up 17 runs including nine homers.

Cleveland Indians to beat Baltimore Orioles

Cleveland has won the first two games of this three-game series and should wrap up the sweep behind the arm of Aaron Civale on Wednesday.

Civale is having a great season to date, going 9-2 with a 3.17 ERA, and is coming off one of his best starts of the year in which he went eight shutout innings against Seattle.

The Orioles, meanwhile, are in the midst of a club record 17-game losing streak on the road, and own the second-worst record in the majors (22-44) after six straight losses overall.

Keegan Akin gets the start for Baltimore on Wednesday – he is 0-1 through seven starts, and has gone no longer than five innings yet this season.

That five-inning outing did come against Cleveland on June 4, as Akin gave up three hits in a no-decision, but it’s hard to see him getting his first win of the season here.

Atlanta Braves to beat Boston Red Sox

Atlanta came on strong late in the first game of the series on Tuesday, but could not claw it back as Boston ran out 10-8 winners.

The Braves look to have the advantage on the mound on Wednesday, though, with Ian Anderson set for his 13th start of the season.

The promising right-hander is 4-3 to date with a 3.26 ERA, and is coming off seven shutout innings against the Phillies in his most recent start, although he took a no-decision in an extra-innings loss.

Starting for Boston will be Garrett Richards, who is 4-4 on the season with a 4.09 ERA. Richards has not earned a win since May 19, and is coming off a tough outing against Toronto in which he gave up four runs on 11 hits over 5.1 innings.

After their almost-fightback on Tuesday, the Braves look a good bet to level this series in this one.
