Here are Jack Green's five bets to consider for the season-opener between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears on Thursday night.

Chicago Bears (-3)

The Bears went 12-5 against the spread last season (including the playoffs ) – the best record in the NFL – and only failed to cover twice in nine home games, while the Packers went 2-5-1 against the spread on the road.

Chicago won the last meeting with their arch rivals at Soldier Field 24-17, clinching the NFC North title and eliminating Green Bay from playoff contention.

Under 46.5 total points

The last two games between these teams in Chicago have finished 24-17 and 23-16, and Thursday’s season opener should be similarly low-scoring.

Chicago allowed just 17.7 points per game last season, while Green Bay scored 17 or fewer in four of their eight road trips.

Mitchell Trubisky under 249.5 passing yards

The Bears leaned heavily on their running game against the Packers last season, with Trubisky throwing for just 171 yards in Green Bay and 235 in Chicago.

The 25-year-old averaged 230 passing yards per game last season and only reached the 250-yard mark in four of his 14 starts.

Davante Adams over 86.5 receiving yards

Adams passed this mark in both games against the Bears last season, gaining 88 receiving yards in Week 1 at Lambeau Field and 119 in Week 14 in Chicago.

The 26-year-old averaged 92.4 receiving yards per game in 2018 and was targeted 169 times - 80 more than any other Green Bay player.

David Montgomery to score a touchdown

Montgomery is primed for a major role in the Chicago offense this season and should find the endzone in his NFL debut.

The rookie running back scored 13 rushing touchdowns in 12 college games for Iowa State last year and will receive most of the early-down and goal-line carries for the Bears on Thursday.
