Here are Jack Green's four NFL tips to consider for Thursday night's season opener between the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs.

Kansas City Chiefs (-9)

The Chiefs won a thrilling playoff game when these teams last met in January, battling back from 24-0 down to win 51-31 and advance to the AFC Championship Game.

The reigning Super Bowl champions should again comfortably see off the Texans, who could be disadvantaged by the lack of a preseason after a summer of upheaval, particularly in their offense.

Houston traded away star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and brought in running back David Johnson, who really struggled towards the end of last season with the Arizona Cardinals.

Over 54 points

With defences short of preparation time due to the condensed preseason, these offenses should run wild on Thursday night.

Kansas City averaged over 28 points per game even though star quarterback Patrick Mahomes missed time through injury, and they should be even better after adding rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the offseason.

Houston scored 62 points in two games against the Chiefs last season and should put plenty on the board again here.

Will Fuller over 61.5 receiving yards

With Hopkins now in Arizona, this looks a great opportunity for Fuller to emerge as the top receiving option in Houston.

The deep threat caught five passes for 89 yards last time he faced the Chiefs and should see plenty of targets on Thursday.

Tyreek Hill to score a touchdown

Hill torched the Texans for 80 receiving yards and two touchdowns when these teams met in Week 6 last season.

The 26-year-old scored eight touchdowns in an injury-hit 2019 campaign, and will have ample opportunity to find the end zone if this game is as high-scoring as expected.
